The company was originally founded in 1983, by Ms. Mary Gogossis and was one of the first yacht charter agencies in Greece. In 2001, the need to expand the range of services in the yachting industry arose, where they took the chance to reform their business creating MG Yachts as we know it today. Since then, it has been their goal to offer customers and partners high quality bareboat, skippered and fully crewed luxury yachts, tailor made customer and management services and yacht sales.

Nowadays, it is a matter of necessity to improve services and provide new fleets, which already counts more than 30 new sailing yachts and catamarans, in addition to managing more than 100 premium quality yachts all over Greece. Their fleet and customers are served at their own offices, in key destinations around Greece (Athens – Main Office, Lavrion, Lefkas Main Port and D-Marin – Branch Office, Paleros – Branch Office, Corfu – Branch Office, Kos, Rhodes, Volos, Skiathos, Mykonos, and Paros).

The company’s newest project was implemented in 2021 and targets the expansion of their services, in which their goal is to provide luxury houses and villas from a selectively chosen portfolio around Greece.

Briefly explain your past booking situation and what was the reason for becoming an exclusive NauSYS Partner?

After several years of using many booking systems, we came to the conclusion that NauSYS is the optimal option for meeting our chartering department’s needs. Previously, we encountered several difficulties, including issues with options, adding and updating inventory, and continually training our chartering team to be able to operate and fix all kinds of issues with discounts, commissions, extras, and so on. Many times, some of our operators could not get the same results through the other systems just by checking from a different terminal. In summary, we consider that our prior booking systems were mediocre in terms of operation and efficiency and we do find ourselves better represented by NauSYS.

What is it that you most like about NauSYS, and which features do you find most important in your everyday activities?

We feel that NauSYS deserves a bigger market share in the yachting industry since their entire team gives competent and courteous service that meet our clientele’s expectations. As previously said, the user-friendly and participative system that addresses both the charterer and the agent at the same time is what we like about NauSYS. The colorful visuals with tiny signals and short descriptions always make life and decision-making easier. What is also very helpful is the ability to send all the information of a yacht through a link and it includes the equipment, pictures and prices. Another crucial feature is the option and the waiting option. All operators (either us or agents) must be allowed to enter their preferred expiration date in case they need to add an expiration date of preference.

How does the system fit your needs? Were there any special customization or needs that we were able to fulfill?

When we add a second option to our fleet, the system allows us to manually change the expiration date instead of only having the default date. Also, the search tool is excellent as it allows special offers and one-ways which is a great feature for agencies as well. There are just so many possibilities in the system that make our work faster and efficient throughout the year. The pictures in the system are also well placed which is most important when sending professional offers to our clients. Our yachts are well presented, in a modern and fresh way. NauSYS also gives us the possibility to easily create one-way charters and change the bases on our own.
